God and Me

Sometimes I blog about God and me. Unfortunately, whenever spiritual stuff comes up, some people want to know what brand. I don’t think you’ll have to read too many posts here before you figure out what that is. I’m not trying to shove it under the rug. But I don’t want to shove it down anyone’s throat, either.

Everyone in our neighborhood knows what kind of car I drive. That’s not because I go from door to door bragging about it. But they notice the car parked in front of my house everyday. They see me driving it through the neighborhood. And they know it belongs to me.

That’s kind of how I want my faith to be. You’ll know about it because I keep it close to where I live, and because I use it as the vehicle for my spiritual travels. And if you must know what the brand is, well, it’s no secret. But the connection between God and me is the real story.

I think God likes to tell His story by letting us tell ours.

This is mine.

Simple as that.

  1. Just read your comment on the God Journey re Gods love defined, Oneness is an awesome picture mate, covers a lot of stuff and I really think you have hit the nail on the head with a very short sharp definition, well done brother!

    • Thanks Rob, for the kind words and for taking the time to visit my little corner of the blogosphere. In the final hours before His death, Jesus prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane that we would all be one. I believe that what we will experience in eternal life is a state of total oneness with God. In the meantime, we are to begin living out that oneness here on earth by loving one another.
